JUNE 18, 2022 – BLOG ENTRY 6

I wanted to talk more than a little about my literary, movie, and personal influences. Some of them may be obvious, but others not so much. I’ve read and watched a lot of stories throughout my life and probably have the record for listening to recorded success seminars. Much of this made its way into my books, and cataloging these influences may take more than a few blog entries.

I appreciate it when people recommend books, movies, or music to me for a few reasons. First, there’s always the chance that I might like what they suggested. It helps to have recommendations because I’m spending so much time researching and writing that I often don’t have the bandwidth to read about the latest entertainment. Secondly, even if I don’t like what they propose, I learn about that person’s passions, and it’s more than I ever would discover from a casual or lunchtime conversation. I’m hoping discussing my influences will offer something similar. You might uncover some old classics you haven’t considered, and you’ll also be able to contrast your interests to those of a fellow human being. Please drop me a comment, or suggest a movie, series, book, or music. I’ll be anxious to hear how we compare when it comes to what we consider great art.
